Mermaid Silhouette is a composite image with the main image being shot at Wipeout Beach in La Jolla, California. This is the same location as Testify and it's an absolutely gorgeous place to watch a sunset. I wanted to create a storyline and decided to use a photo of my daughter to create a silhouette and shadow. When my wife saw the resulting image, she said the shadow looked like a mermaid. I thought that was perfect. A little girl staring into the sunset, daydreaming about being a mermaid, perhaps? I'll leave that up to you to decide.
